Elvis Nut Races to Groom 148 Grade School Impersonators

Elvis died a painful death in 1977. But his spirit lives on in the oddest of places. 

Paul Richie is hell bent on breaking the Guinness Book of World Records "for the most Elvis impersonators in one location (currently standing at 147) by training children up to a minimum standard of quality that would legally define them as impersonators. Working with legendary Elvis Tribute Artist Paul Richie, each class-based activity is designed around the structure of a 'year four' primary school curriculum and the three basic acts of impersonation: Act-a-like, Look-a-like and Sound-a-like."

Kind of inspired. Others have tried in vain to break the record, which by the by, was set in January 2007. Imagine how much it would cost to organize 148 grown-ups, each complaining that time is money. Paul's tireless solution of educating grade school kids how to look like, sound like and act like Elvis is both economical and strangely educational. Kudos.
